Why Was This Product Recalled?
The internal wire heating elements in the recalled blankets and pads can overheat during use or while plugged in. JKMAX has received 577 confirmed reports of units smoking, melting, or catching fire — and 53 consumers have sustained burn injuries as a result. Heated blankets and pads are often used in bed or on sofas in direct contact with the user’s body and nearby flammable materials like pillows, sheets, and furniture, which significantly elevates the risk of serious injury when a heating element fails.
What Should You Do?
