Product Recalls

Know Before You Use It

Food, medicine, cars, baby gear, and everyday products. We track official recalls and tell you what's affected, what the risk is, and what to do next.

The recalls we cover

Recalls come from several federal agencies, each responsible for different products. We watch all of them so you only have to watch one place.

💊

Food & medicine

The FDA covers most packaged foods, prescription and over-the-counter drugs, cosmetics, and medical devices.

🥩

Meat & poultry

The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service handles meat, poultry, and processed egg products.

🧸

Household products

The Consumer Product Safety Commission covers toys, appliances, furniture, electronics, and kids' gear.

🚗

Vehicles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration handles cars, tires, and child car seats.

Think you have a recalled product?

Here's what to do, in order.

1

Stop using it

Set it aside right away, out of reach of kids and pets. Don't throw it out yet.

2

Check the details

Match the model number, lot code, or use-by date against the recall notice. Not every unit is affected.

3

Follow the remedy

Most recalls offer a refund, repair, or replacement. The notice tells you who to contact and how.

4

Get help if you need it

If anyone feels sick or gets hurt, contact a doctor. In an emergency, call 911.
