Why Was This Product Recalled?
FDA testing found RAPTURE Preworkout contains DMAA (1,3-Dimethylamylamine), a synthetic stimulant drug that the FDA has determined is not a lawful dietary supplement ingredient and has issued warning letters against since 2012. DMAA can cause elevated blood pressure, cardiovascular problems including heart attack, shortness of breath, and tightening of the chest. DMAA is particularly dangerous when combined with other stimulants such as caffeine — which is commonly found in preworkout supplements. It has been linked to deaths and serious cardiovascular events in military personnel and civilian athletes.
