The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says about 100 VQQQ natural gas patio heaters, recalled by Shanxi Yuhe Sheng Maoyi Youxian Gongsi, doing business as VQQQ, pose a risk of serious injury or death from fire and burn hazards. The recall was announced on October 22, 2026, as a Fast Track Recall (recall number 27-039). CPSC says no incidents or injuries have been reported.
What's Being Recalled?
The recall covers VQQQ-branded natural gas patio heaters. Each heater has a bronze pole with a round base and a silver mushroom-shaped top. The height adjusts from 55 to 78 inches, and a 24-foot-long gray gas hose is attached to the base. The heaters were manufactured in China and sold online at Amazon.com from July 2024 through August 2026 for about $346. The brand and model number are printed on the purchase receipt. The affected models are:
- VQQQ natural gas patio heater, Model VQQQ-A1, sold July 2024 through August 2026
- VQQQ natural gas patio heater, Model VQQQ-001, sold July 2024 through August 2026
Why Was This Product Recalled?
CPSC says components on the heaters can malfunction and release gas. That poses a risk of serious injury or death from fire and burn hazards. While this is a small recall, the potential harm is serious, so owners should act right away.
What Should You Do?
CPSC says to stop using the heaters immediately. Shut the valve at the portable gas source and disconnect the gas hose. Contact VQQQ for a full refund. Write "Recalled" in permanent marker on the heater's base, then email a photo of the marked heater to vqqqrecall@163.com. After that, dispose of the recalled product. The page lists no phone number for VQQQ. You can also reach CPSC at 800-638-2772 (TTY 800-638-8270) or report unsafe products at SaferProducts.gov.
