The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says Base Products LLC, dba Harkla, is recalling about 25,541 Harkla Children's Compression Sensory Swings sold in the U.S. The ceiling hook can separate from its plate, which poses a risk of serious injury from a fall. Harkla has received 29 reports of the hook separating, including 14 injuries. The recall was announced on October 29, 2026, with Health Canada.
What's Being Recalled?
The recalled swings have a blue fabric seat and come with a four-hole hook and ceiling mounting hardware, with a drop length of 18 to 24 inches. Only swings with a four-hole hook are included. They were sold at Sensory Tool House, Hammer & Jacks, Loaded Sensory and Renew (Faire), and online at Amazon.com and Harkla.co, from March 2020 through December 2025 for between $100 and $130. The swings were manufactured in China. The CPSC page lists no lot codes or UPCs. Look for these SKUs printed on the side of the product packaging:
- Harkla Sensory Swing with four-hole hook, SKU LS-COMP-1BLU
- Harkla Sensory Swing with four-hole hook, SKU LS-COMP-1BLU-SW
Why Was This Product Recalled?
