Lithonia Lighting of Atlanta, Georgia is recalling about 11,532 Lithonia Lighting RSX Luminaires with adjustable tilt arm mountings, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says. The manufacturer, Lithonia Lighting, announced the Fast Track Recall on October 22, 2026. The CPSC warns the fixtures can fall from the arm, creating a risk of serious injury from impact.
What's Being Recalled?
The recall covers RSX luminaires used for commercial outdoor lighting. The arm mounts the luminaire to a pole or wall and lets it tilt from 0 to 90 degrees above horizontal. The products were made in the United States and Mexico and sold nationwide at commercial distributors, including Turtle & Hughes Inc. and Consolidated Electrical Distributors, from August 2019 to August 2026 for $400 to $2,200. The mounting arms were manufactured from August 2019 to July 2020 and from August 2024 to April 2026. The affected mounting types are:
- RSX luminaire with AASP mounting (square pole mount)
- RSX luminaire with AARP mounting (round pole mount)
- RSX luminaire with AAWB mounting (wall bracket)
- RSX luminaire with AAWSC mounting (wall bracket with surface mount conduit box)
Why Was This Product Recalled?
The knuckle of the adjustable tilt arm mounting can fail, which can let the luminaire fall from the arm. The firm has received 13 reports of the mountings breaking, including four reports of fixtures falling. No injuries have been reported.
What Should You Do?
Property owners, managers, and businesses with these fixtures should keep clear of the area directly beneath the luminaire.
