WinCo Foods LLC of Boise, ID, is recalling its WinCo Foods Hoagie Rolls because sesame flour was not declared in the ingredient list or allergen statement, the FDA says. The company announced the recall on October 22, 2026. The rolls were sold at WinCo Foods retail stores in seven Western states, and no illnesses have been reported.
What's Being Recalled?
The recalled product is WinCo Foods Hoagie Rolls in a 16oz (1LB) 454g bag. They were sold at WinCo Foods stores in CA, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT and WA. The FDA lists best-by dates ranging from 9/10/2026 to 11/3/2026, so some bags may be past their printed dates while others are not. The bag prints the date in the format "Best if used by SEP 9." The FDA page gives no lot codes, price or sale dates. The affected product is:
- WinCo Foods Hoagie Rolls, 16oz (1LB) 454g, UPC 2-70552-00649-2, Best By dates 9/10/2026 to 11/3/2026
Why Was This Product Recalled?
Sesame flour was not declared on the ingredient list or the allergen statement. The recall started after the manufacturer, United States Bakery, discovered the packaging problem. The FDA says people with a sesame allergy or severe sensitivity "may risk a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction" if they eat the product. No illnesses have been reported. The company is making the recall with the knowledge of the Food and Drug Administration.
What Should You Do?
Anyone with a sesame allergy or sensitivity should not eat these rolls. Check your bag for the UPC and best-by date. Even if the date has passed, the FDA does not say those bags are exempt, so check any rolls still in your home. Return the rolls to the nearest WinCo Foods location for a refund. Questions can go to the WinCo Foods Customer Service Desk at 1-800-824-1706, or through the Contact Us form at apps.wincofoods.com/contact-winco-foods/. Anyone who has had a reaction should talk to a health care provider.
