Hesung Innovation Corp, dba DREO, is recalling about 338,800 DREO DR-HSH015 space heaters in the US because they can overheat and ignite, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says. About 36,300 more were sold in Canada. DREO has received 17 reports of heaters igniting, including one hand burn injury. The recall was announced October 29, 2026.
What's Being Recalled?
The recall covers black ceramic electric heaters with a remote control, about 11.5 inches wide and 13 inches tall. Only units manufactured from April 2025 through January 2026 are included. "DREO" appears on the front. A label on the underside prints the model number and the manufacture date in YYYY/MM format. The heaters were sold at Costco stores nationwide and online at Dreo.com, BestBuy.com, Kohls.com, Lowes.com, QVC.com, HomeDepot.com, B2BRenew.com and Costco.com from September 2025 through October 2026 for between $70 and $110. They were made in Vietnam. The affected identifiers are:

- Manufacture date range: April 2025 through January 2026
Why Was This Product Recalled?
CPSC says the heaters can overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards. DREO has received 17 reports of heaters igniting. Three resulted in property damage and one in a burn injury to the hand. No deaths have been reported.
What Should You Do?
Stop using the heaters immediately and check the underside label for model DR-HSH015 and a manufacture date between 2025/04 and 2026/01. Contact DREO for a free replacement space heater. DREO will ask you to unplug the heater and destroy it by cutting the electrical cord, then follow instructions to send a photo of the destroyed heater.
